Montalcino – Toscana
Tuscany in the imagination of a wine maker has always been the land of the great red wines of Italy. Understanding the territory that characterizes these great wines is crucial and, personally, I must also say very surprising. The first time I went to Montalcino I was surprised by the organization of the vineyards surrounding the town. Every single vineyard looked like a garden, balanced in shapes and sizes. Many small vineyards that characterize a varied landscape where you can perceive the value of every single element that makes up this unique view. To think that before arriving in Montalcino, it was really difficult to perceive the deep viticultural tradition of this place as the territory surrounding the town of Montalcino is almost devoid of vineyards, but then suddenly the doors of “Eden” opened.
